Telling your stories: what keeps you going?

We often speak with advocates about the fortitude it takes to continue share personal experiences publicly–especially when those experiences arise from pain or trauma. Here, Lee Woodruff offers a powerful meditation on what keeps her going after 11 years.

And that is my proof.  The evidence that there’s still a story within me that bears telling. It just might have some juice left in it to help someone else get through the day, or remind them they’re not alone. And so I’ll keep telling it, because maybe the story is not done with me.
